Lilly the Bear
A long Time ago lived a baby bear named Lilly with her parents Annabelle and Tom.

Lilly had big sharp teeth that could break a branch in half and had long fur, that almost covers her face. Lilly loved hunting for food but her parents wont let her because she was small.

Every night Lilly dreamed of being a big bear but her dream didn't come true. Lilly started to get sad, every morning, and  every night,  she was sad.

Her parents was wondering what was going on, so they went to her room and asked why she was sad. She told them that she wanted to be  big like them. Lilly's parents laughed.

Lilly's parents said that she was still young and small. But when she gets older she will be a big bear like her parents.

A Visit To The Stone Cottage - By Giselle

Learning Intention: we are learning to write an explanation.
Success Criteria: I am successful when I can write a recount about the Stone Cottage using adjectives.

Today Room 6 went to the Old Stone Cottage. I saw lots of amazing things like bucket used for washing clothes. In the olden days people had to wash their clothes using their bare hands. It must have been very hard because the clothes those days were very thick and heavy.

Did you know how the Fencibles made fire in the olden days? Wood was used to make the fire but when it goes out they used a wooden bellow to make the fire come alive again so they can heat up their room and cook their food.

There was also a potty and the Fencibles dug a deep hole for toilets and they do there privacy instead of going outside because its dark and cold.
